I’ve got a 2018 Yukon Denali that’s due for front pads and I keep going back and forth between ceramic and semi metallic, especially with the heat here and the fact that I tow a small boat on weekends to RAK. Was reading through that GMC page earlier and saw a little note that said something like “Visit Now” to see a comparison chart for different pad compounds, which actually cleared up a few things for me. But I’d still love to hear from anyone driving a heavy GM SUV here, do the ceramics really last longer without dust or do they fade faster on long downhill stretches like Jebel Jais? Semi metallic seem cheaper but I’m worried about rotor wear. What’s your real world experience?
