Spring 2008

As in the past years I have driven around all the roads that surround Lake Somerset. I have compiled a list of the areas where repairs are needed and submitted them to Mr. Don Figiel, the Somerset Township Supervisor. Don has submitted the list to the Hillsdale County Road Commission for repair of the areas indicated.

Many of the areas I have listed have already been patched, with the balance will be done later this year. If anyone is aware of locations that require attention, please do not hesitate to call me at 688-4356 and/or attend one of the monthly association meetings and have your concerns addressed.

As you may know, many of the Millage Renewals passed. This includes one that was earmarked for the repair and maintenance of the Township's roads. Some of this money will be used on Lake Somerset roads either by filling in potholes, patching deteriorating areas and repairing road shoulders. One project planned for the 2008 season is the seal coating on Baker Road.
