LAKE SOMERSET PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION -- USE OF THE PARKS

Article 8, Section 5 -- Rules, Regulations, and By-Laws

"The Board of Directors has the power to enact rules and regulations to control and regulate the use and enjoyment of Lake Somerset's common property and facilities."

The Board, given the above powers by the By-Laws, has established the following rules regarding use of the parks by Association members. These rules apply to all Association common property.

There are three parks at Lake Somerset:

  1. Our parks open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
  2. All persons who use the park must be Lake Association members in good standing.
  3. Schmidtke, Klann, and Aepli have designated swim areas, "Swim At Your Own Risk".
  4. Only household pets on a leash are permitted in the parks. Please clean up after your pets.
  5. After launching your boat at the Schmidtke Park boat ramp, (no other launching ramps are available) cars and trailers are to be moved to the parking lot at the top of the hill, just outside the vinyl fence. Parking is only permitted at the parking lot at the top of the hill. No overnight parking of vehicles or trailers is allowed. Parking is not permitted on the ramp drive.
  6. For the preservation and protection of the park grounds, fires are to be confined to the grills provided.
  7. Please keep your parks beautiful by picking up your trash.
  8. No household dumping is permitted in the parks.
  9. No camping or inhabited usage of motor homes, or recreational vehicles, is permitted on Lake Somerset properties or parks. Violation of this restrictive covenant could result in the impounding of the camping or RV equipment by law enforcement officials.
  10. No overnight mooring of boats will be permitted. All boats must be removed from the park each day, no later than 10:00 p.m.

All violations of the above rules could result in a $100.00 fine, and vehicles will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
