7th Annual Boat Parade

Our 7th annual boat parade was held on July 4th, 2007 with 10 boats participating, which was a little less than previous years. Those that did participate went all out this year with some great designs.

Judging was done by Jen Scheithauer, previous winner from last year, and also with the help of Tom and Ada Weaver. Criteria used for the judging was originality, participation, involvement, creativity, and patriotism.

So people can prepare for next years competition, we want it to be known that you do not have to limit yourself to a 4th of July theme. Any theme can be used just like our 1st place winners this year who created a pirate ship theme. Theme and creativity will be two major factors in the judging criteria next summer. We hope to see lots of participants next summer so start planning now.
