Fishing Pictures
Nice fish Dick!
Shannon Frantz caught a .62 pound, 12-inch fat bluegill on Thursday, September 2, 2010 in the channel past the association pole barn. Your webmaster, Pete Tochman, took the picture and saw it measured and weighed on Homey's digital scale. A real impressive fish. That's her proud dad, Leland Spangler, looking on in the background.
An evening of ice fishing on Lake Somerset netted Marvin Sharrock three 22-inch walleyes, 6 bluegills, and 2 crappies.
George Rausch snapped this picture of Robert Hogge, his neighbor across the channel. George's email read, 'Pete -- here's the picture of your father in law carrying the catfish up to eat! Nice fish! I don't know what it weighed. It was probably one that I've been feeding all summer! I think he was SMACKING his lips anticipating the catfish fry!! -- George
Willie caught this five-pound, 20" bass Thursday night, July 24, around 8:30 p.m. He was fishing from his dock with a bluegill on a big hook. Willie said he didn't think we had fish this big in Lake Somerset. Well, we do! Nice fish, Willie.
Jason Gray caught this nice 40-1/2" pike in the Woodbrook channel by the family house on July 4. The picture was submitted by his proud mom, Gina.
